Lovus ("Lovus", "we") operates a search and comparison platform for care homes and long-term care institutions for the elderly (ILPIs) across Brazil. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we may share it with, and what rights you have over it, in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 — LGPD).

1. Who can use Lovus

Lovus is intended for people over 18. If you are searching for a care home on behalf of a family member, the data subject is you — the person interacting with the platform — not the elderly person you are researching, unless you choose to share their data with us.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account data: name, email and password (or login provider), when you create an account.
• Contact and search data: name, phone and email provided when contacting a listed institution, plus favorited homes, comparison lists and saved search filters in your account.
• Usage data: pages visited, searches performed and interactions with the platform, collected automatically to improve the experience and relevance of results.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, collected for security and diagnostics.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive data (health, biometrics, racial origin, religious or political beliefs, among others) beyond what is strictly necessary to enable your contact with an institution — and, in that case, only when you choose to voluntarily provide it in a contact message.

3. What we use your data for

• Enable your contact with registered institutions;
• Keep your favorite homes, comparison lists and preferences saved between sessions;
• Personalize and improve search results;
• Send operational communications (confirmations, security notices) and, with your consent, marketing communications;
• Prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the platform;
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Who we share your data with

We share your contact data (name, phone and email) with the specific institution you choose to contact through the platform, solely to enable that contact. We also share data with service providers who help us operate Lovus (hosting, transactional email, analytics), always under contractual confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Legal bases

We process your data based on the performance of a contract or preliminary procedures at your request (art. 7, V, LGPD), compliance with a legal obligation (art. 7, II), your consent, when applicable (art. 7, I), and our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the platform (art. 7, IX), always respecting your fundamental rights and freedoms.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, or longer when required by law. When you close your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymized, except when we must retain it to comply with a legal obligation.

7. Your rights

Under the LGPD, you may at any time:

• Confirm the existence of processing and access your data;
• Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
• Request anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in violation of the law;
• Request the portability of your data;
• Withdraw consent and request deletion of your data;
• Obtain information about who we share your data with; and
• File a complaint with the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

8. Information security

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss or alteration, including encrypted connection (HTTPS), access control and storage in a secure environment. No system is completely free of risk; if we identify a security incident that may affect your data, we will notify you and the ANPD as required by the LGPD.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated by email or notice on the platform before they take effect.
